Product Description

INTAMSYS PEEK-GF combines the high thermal, mechanical, and chemical performance of PEEK with 10% chopped glass-fiber reinforcement.

The glass fibers increase the material’s stiffness and modulus while improving heat resistance, wear resistance, dimensional stability, and printed surface quality. Compared with standard unfilled PEEK, PEEK-GF provides improved rigidity and reduced deformation for demanding functional parts.

Glass-fiber reinforcement also improves electrical insulation, making PEEK-GF suitable for electrical, electronic, semiconductor, and high-temperature insulating applications where carbon-fiber-reinforced materials may not be appropriate.

The material offers strong resistance to chemicals, steam, and hydrolysis. INTAMSYS also states that its formulation reduces crystallization speed, improving printability and printed-part surface quality compared with conventional glass-fiber-reinforced PEEK materials.

PEEK-GF is suitable for aerospace, automotive, electronics, semiconductor, oil and gas, advanced manufacturing, and industrial tooling applications. It can be used for functional prototypes, manufacturing aids, electrically insulating components, and low-volume end-use parts.

The filament is black, has a diameter of 1.75 mm, and is available in 500 g, 1 kg, and 3 kg spool sizes.

Processing PEEK-GF requires a high-temperature industrial printer. The INTAMSYS FUNMAT HT provides a nozzle temperature of up to 450°C, a build plate reaching 160°C, and a heated chamber reaching 90°C.

Because glass-fiber-filled filaments can cause nozzle wear, customers should use the appropriate INTAMSYS high-temperature, wear-resistant nozzle or printhead configuration specified for reinforced materials.

These material characteristics are documented on the official INTAMSYS PEEK-GF page.
